Is  it obvious “Sleeping Beuaty” is my favorite AU? No?

NOTE TO SELF: When jumping into a Fairytale Book, chose a cute and safe fairytale. Like Princess and the Frog, or Cinderella! Not a Fairytale with evil fairies and curses, like Sleeping Beauty. The trio of friends found this out the hard way…

The trio were having a wonderful time meeting the famous Princess and the royal court. They had jumped in at the very end of the story, where a royal wedding was taking place. Bethany, much more relaxed nowadays, was having a wonderful time dancing with Owen in the ballroom. Kiel watched them, and a hint of hurt grew in his heart. He wished he was dancing with Owen. He was normally so confident, but whenever Owen was around he became flustered. There was no way he had the bravery to ask Owen to dance. Kiel began to walk away, he didn’t want to watch anymore. He was tired of it.

Tired you say?

Kiel spun around, but the source of the voice was no where to be seen. He realized he had wandered into the castle’s empty hallways, the faint sounds of the party far away. He shouldn’t have wandered off, he didn’t know this story like Bethany and Owen did.

Ah yes, Bethany and Owen. They make quite the couple?

“Who’s there?” Keil called out, grabbing one of his wand blades.
Once again, there was no one. However he began to wander through a darker end of the hallway. Perhaps they were hiding in the shadows?

Of course you’d know about shadows Kiel Gnomefoot. Spending half your life on the streets full of them.
“Thats behind me,” Kiel claimed. “Now show yourself!”
The shadows weren’t all bad, were they Keil?
Kiel began to feel dizzy, as the hallways became darker and darker. “What are you talking about…?” He mumbled, trying to steady himself.
You didn’t have to feel anything when in the shadows Keil
“Th-Thats…Thats sorta true…” Kiel’s voice went breathless. “But…But I…”
But what?
“But its not like I….Not like I don’t want…to feel…!” Keil leaned on the wall, catching his breath.
And why is that? Why do you want to feel?
“What do I want…to feel?” Kiel repeated the question, asking himself.

Kiel could see a soft light up ahead. It was a stairway, lit by soft green light. Normally Kiel would rush in, ready to fight any beast beyond. However he simply stumbled his way up the stairs, feeling more drowsy with every step.

Feelings hurt, feelings are a problem.
“Feelings are…a problem…”
When your asleep, you don’t feel.
“Asleep…I don’t feel…”
You want to sleep, don’t you?
“Mhm…” Kiel nodded.

Keil stumbled, realizing he was at the top of the stairs. He was in a tall tower, in a small empty room. We’ll almost empty. There was an odd wooden object, similar to what was on the cover of the book.
If you touch the spindle, you’ll sleep.
“S-Spindle…?” Kiel got closer.
Yes, Spindle. Touch the tip, and you will sleep. You won’t have to feel.
“Won’t feel…”
Yes, sleep my child.

Kiel felt the ‘spindle’, until he pricked his finger upon it. The blood dripped from his finger, and so did his eyes as he fell to the floor in a heap.

Bethany and Owen were frantically searching the halls for Keil. He had wandered off, and they needed to find him!
“Look! Up ahead!” Owen pointed.
In the distance, in a darker hallway, was a stairway. A figure was slowly beginning to walk up them.
“Kiel!” Bethany cried out. “Kiel wait!”
Kiel didn’t even glance their way. Weird, he normally had great hearing? Bethany gasped.
“What? What is it?!” Owen asked.
“Owen, the spindle is never specified to be gone at the end of sleeping beauty. Its still up there!”
Owen and Bethany began to run after Kiel.
“KIEL! KIEL STOP!” They cried out.

The finally made it to the top of the tower, but they were too late. Kiel lay passed out on the cobblestone.
“Kiel!” Bethany shouted, and ran to his side.
Owen stood frozen still. Crap, he should have never left Kiel alone! Why did he agree to dance with Bethany, when he should have just manned up and asked Kiel to dance! And now Kiel was doomed, all because he couldn’t ask his crush to dance!
“Owen! Owen hie’s not waking up!” Bethany said.
“Well duh!” Owen exclaimed, joining Bethany by Keil’s side. “He’s basically sleeping beauty now!”
“I known that!” Bethany yelled. “But how do we wake him up?! There’s no princess or prince to wake him, and we can’t wait 100 years!”
Owen sighed. “Lemme try.”
“You?”
“I…I’ve had a crush on him for a while. Its worth a shot?”
Bethany nodded.
Owen took Keil’s head in his lap. He leaned down and kissed Keil’s lips.

Keil’s eyes fluttered open.
“Oh, hi Owen!” He winked his classic wink. “What happened? Did I conk out?”
“Kiel, thank goodness your ok!” Owen sighed in relief.
“We should have had you read this story before hand,” Bethany said. “You touched the spindle, which put you to sleep!”
“Oh…” Keil nodded along.
“Thank GOD your gay for Owen. His ‘true loves kiss’ woke you up!”

Owen and Kiel blushed

THE END
