The Galra have no such concept as “Fake It Til’ You Make It”TM. They have “Victory or Death”. Which basically means if they don’t do anything without having 100% confidence in themselves and their decisions. They make 100% of the shots, because they don’t even bother with the onces they have even a 1% chance of missing.
Enter Lance, the man who will try anything and everything once. Regardless of whether or not that ends well for him, he still takes all those chances with his head held high. And to the Galra, who considered doing anything without certainty the equivalent of suicide…
Yeah, Lance was kinda the coolest guy ever. It was like watching a daredevil ride a motorcycle over a deadly gorge, terryfying and thrilling! Security fotage of the Blue Paladins daring escepdes would be shared all across the Galrans Secure Comunication Channels, becoming a Viral Celebrity across the Empire. And eventually, Prince Lotor himself saw it.
Which led to the current situation the Paladins of Voltron found themselves in: completely surrounded on all sides by a ridiculous ammount Galra soilders, in a throne room of sorts on Lotor’s personal ship. The Paladins had a lead on a significant new weapon the Empire was developing and it led to this ship. It was a trap, and Voltron fell for it hook, line, and sinker. They were ambushed immediately and brought before Prince Lotor himself. They had no idea what was in store for them.
“Well, you have us!” Keith shouted, angrily. “What are you gonna do?!”
Lotor smirked upon his seat and uncrossed his legs. “I must say, I am estatic to meet the most daring soilder in the univirse!”
“Is that some lame attempt at a compliment?” Keith gritted his teeth.
“It wasn’t for you.”
Lotor snapped his fingers, and Lance was pushed to the front of the group. Lance was very confused. Admittedly…he wasnt paying too much attention after Lotor started praising Keith. He tended to zone out whenever the conversation turned to Glazing Keith. He heard enough of it at the Garrison, now the Galra Empire itself was doing it too? But then he was face to face with the Prince of said Empire himself, and his distracted dumbass didnt know why.
“Getting up so close and personal with me?” Lance raised an eyebrow. “Am I that irresistible?”
Lotor blushed. THE PRINCE OF THE GALRA EMPIRE BLUSHED.
At Lance’s panicked attempt at flirtation?! What was happening?!
Lotor giggled—GIGGLED—“You’ve done it again, Blue. Acomplishing the impossible without a second thought.”
“A second thought? I don’t even have to think once.” Lance grinned.
The entire crowd of Galra gasped and applauded in awe. The paladins were…confused. And a little annoyed at Lance’s jokes. And baffled as they seemed to be…doing something. Was he actually impressing the Galra Empire right now? Was that a good thing?
“Blue Paladin, I would like to offer you a proposition.” Lotor said, snapping his fingers.
The two galra holding lance released him. “What kind of proposion?”
“I will release your team and their lions, however you must do something for me.”
“Lance no!” Hunk shouted.
“Its a trap!” Shiro struggled against the gaurds restraining him.
“And what is that?” Lance put a hand on his hip. What was lotor playing at? Did he want lance to join him? Sacrifice himself for the team?
“I want you…to sign this.” Lotor held up a peice of paper.
“Huh, I didnt know ya’ll even had paper here.” Lance mumbled to himself.
“Dont sign it!” Keith yelled.
“It must be a contract or something, a trap.” Shiro said.
“Uh guys?” Lance held up the paper to the team. “Its actually blank.”
“Then there must be invisible ink!” Pidge said.
“Invisable Ink?” The galra gaurd holding her asked. “Whats that?”
“You are correct Blue Paladin, the paper is blank.” Lotor said. “I only want your signature on it.”
“Wait. Are you saying you want..”
“Your autograph, yes.”
“Why? Wouldnt you rather have keiths? Hes the cooler one!”
“Nonsense! He is not the paladin with 8725600 veiws on Galra-Tube!”
“…on what.”
“THE GALRA HAVE YOUTUBE!” Hunk shouted. “OH MY GOD WHAT”
“How is that what your most shocked about?!” Keith questioned.
“Lance! You’ve been on Galra Youtube and didnt tell us?!” Pidge yelled.
“I’ve never heard of it before, I swear!!”
“Blue Paladin, please.” Lotor grabbed Lance’s attention again. “I would be honored to have your signature.”
“Uhhh…yeah. Ok.”
And so, Lance took the futuristic pen and signed his name in big fancy letters on the Galran Paper.
“So…we can go?” Lance asked.
“Yes, of course! Thank you so very much.” Lotor snapped his fingers, and the paladins were let out of the throne room.
As the doors closed behind them, muffled cheers could be heard.
“I cant beleive Lance is a fucking YouTube star in SPACE”. Keith grumbled.
“Why, jealous?” Lance smirked.
“Oh shut up Lance, you dont even know why your famous!” Pidge said.
