Voltron LANGST prompt--The dumb one

Based on this post:

OOF THIS

Takes place right after "The feud"

Lance is really upset about being called "The dumb one" on the show, and none of his teammates standing up for him. Hell, they were basically agreeing with bob that whole time.

So he begins to avoid talking to the team on the coms and only talks when necessary. 

Eventually, his lion mate at the time, Romelle, asks him why he's being so reserved.
"Romelle, am I dumb?" he asks
And Romelle, being the naive little unaware girl she can be, says: "Well, you're not smartest, that's for sure." 

Red even agrees that Lance isn't the smartest. She reveals she only chose him because of Keith's request.

A week later, Lance makes a plan.
He talks to Red, and even she cannot convince him to rethink.

That night, Lance grabs the last oxygen tank in Red, and shoots himself out of the lion, leaving Romelle to take his place.

As Lance spends his last moments alone in space, he thinks of his family. he would've loved to see them again, but who would want to see him? The dumb one.

BONUS:

With the rest of the team being asleep, they are light years away from Lance when they awaken. 
Romelle contacts the rest of the team and tells them what Red is telling her. That Lance is gone.
The team stops their psth to Earth to find him.

But they never do. 

(Lance had frozen into ice in space, and when a nearby piece of space rock hit him, he shattered into million's of pieces.)
