Pidge on her period Fics! Always a laugh, woo! But I've never seen one about her FIRST period. So here we are!
TW WARNINGS:
The following language:
- Menstral Cycle
- Period
- Birth Control
- "The Pill"
Over Exaggerated Period: Blood flowing down the legs, unreasonably painful cramps, unrealistic mood swings.
Fun Fact! I don't often get bad periods. I've been on Birth Control pills the majority of my life. Some so extreme that I would only get my period 3 or 4 times a YEAR! So when I do end up getting a period, its not that intense(except for the first day). Light Flow, no cramps. I do get really emotional tho.
So yeah, thats why this is written so exagerated lol
OOC Team: OOC as in none or them know what a women's period is lol. Well, Corran and Alurra not knowing makes sense. But still...
EXTRA OOC Shiro: Out of Character, because him(a 25 year old)not knowing what a women's period is made me laugh :)

Pidge awoke to blood. So so much blood; it covered her pants, legs, and sheets. What had happened?! This was not here yesterday, they didn't even go on any missions or battles! She was hyperventilating. Was she dying? She had to be! Her pussy was bleeding! She began to cry, but pulled herself together before she could outright sob. She had a team who would support her, she needed to find them.
Pidge wobbled out of bed, and felt a stabbing in her side. That couldn't be good, she really was dying! She felt very gross as the blood squished around as she made her way to the lounge.
Everyone was in there - well, Lance was missing. But he always slept in. She hoped she could see him before she died. Oh god, she was wanting to see Lance; this had to be the end! She stood in the doorway, close to tears. It was hurting to move. The rest of the team turned to look at her, and gasped. It was probably weird to see her so emotional.
"Pidge, are you alright?" Alurra asked carefully and concerned.
"Pidge! You're bleeding!" Hunk gasped.
Sure enough, blood was dripping down her legs. Hunk ran to Pidge, crouched down and held her arms. He looked her over, she didn't look good.
"What happened?!" Keith yelled.
Pidge cried out. "I-I don't know! I just woke up to blood and pain! I...I'm dying!"
"Oh my god..." Shiro gasped. "We have to get her to a healing pod!"
Corran and Shiro tried to lift Pidge, but she screamed out in more pain as they jostled her. They instead laid her down on the couch for Corran to scan.
"The scan says she's fine," Corran said.
"She's obviously not!" Keith yelled.
"Then there's only one explaination..." Hunk trailed off.
They all turned to look down at Pidge. She really was dying!

Lance entered the lounge to a strange sight: The majority of his team was in tears as Pidge laid on the couch in pain.
"Whats going on?!" Lance cried out
"I...I'm dying!" Pidge cried out.
"WHAT?!"
"Its true," Keith said. It was weird to see him with misty eyes, even if tears didn't fall yet.
"Th-Theres blood everywhere and she's in so much pain," Hunk sniffled.
"And Corran's medical scans didn't pick up anything." Shiro said.
"What, so the only explanation is sudden death?!"
"Lance please," Alurra wiped her tears but more just kept coming. "We've done all we can."
Lance looked over at Pidge, and saw the blood was coming from her lower region. He finally caught on and rolled his eyes. Pidge must be playing a joke on them all, and Shiro was playing along or something.
"Oh HA HA!" Lance yelled out. "Very funny Pidge."
"W-What..?" Pidge looked up at Lance with weak eyes.
"I get it now. C'mon fess up, you're worrying everyone!"
"What are you talking about?" Pidge choked out, now scared and confused.
Lance looked at her face, and his eyes widened. He remembered Pidge had run away from home when she was 13, and pretended to be a boy for two years at the garrison. That meant she not only ran away from home at a young age, but did not attend the women's health class. Oh crap this...this was her first period. No wonder the scans showed up blank for Corran, nothing was wrong! Pidge just got her first period and thought she was dying, and no one else apparently knewn what a period was. Wait a minute--
"What the--Shiro!" Lance turned to the Black Paladin. "How do you not know what this is?!"
"I don't have all the answers, Lance." Shiro said solemnly. "I wish I did. I wish we could save Pidge--"
Lance facepalmed, and groaned in frustration. "You're all idiots..."
"Lance, now is not the time for jokes!" Alurra scolded. "Pidge is-"
"Pidge isn't dying." Lance deadpanned.
"I sure feel like it!" Pidge sobbed. "What else could this be?!" She wailed.
Lance sighed and lifted Pidge up in his arms. Pidge didn't cry out, because Lance was careful with her. The team tried to stop him, but they gave him an intense look. He told them to trust him, and they reluctently nodded. He said he's taking Pidge back to her room, and that he would hand off the bloddied clothes and sheets to them. He instructed them to wash them with cold water, and dry them so they. were very warm and soft. They nodded, and Lance took Pidge to her room.

Lance placed Pidge on her feet in her bathroom, and got a hot shower running. While it warmed up, he turned to Pidge. She was still inconsolable.
"Pidge, I need you to take deep breathes." he said
Pidge tried, but she was having trouble not crying.
"Pidge, I promise you are not dying." he insisted.
"B-But-"
"Pidge, everything thats happening right now is completely normal and natural."
"How?!" Pidge yelled.
"I promise I will explain everything when you're all clean, okay?"
"I..I don't...I just--"
Lance shushed her, and instructed her through some deep breaths. She was finally able to do so. Lance helped her out of her clothes and into the shower. He thought of Pidge as a little sister, and now he'd have to be the big brother she needed now more than ever.
...
When Pidge came out of the shower, she was calmer. Her mood swing had evened out, and she was no longer sobbing or sad. Now she was just confused, and ready for answers. Lance sat her down on the bed, and looked her in the eyes. Even if periods were a natural thing, Lance was still a guy and was still a bit iffy talking about this stuff. But Pidge was relying on him to convince her she wasn't dying.
"Ok Pidge, you ran away from home really young. And Since you were pretending to be a boy, no one warned you about this." Lance said.
"Why are you telling me this?" Pidge asked.
"Because we're about to talk about something very serious that normally a mom or other...feminine figure explains. I'm a guy, but I'm gonna do my best."
"Then why are you telling me?"
"Because apparently our team is incompetent and didn't know you weren't dying! Which is so weird! Shiro is like, a full on adult! And Hunk had sisters! Apparently I'm the only one who knows what this is."
"What...What is this?" Pidge finally asked.
Lance took a deep breath. Just be blunt just be blunt just be blunt--
"Pidge, you've started your first...period." Lance said.
"My first what?" Pidge asked.
"Well, its called a 'Mesnstrual cycle' medically. But its commonly called a Period."
"But what is it?!" Pidge yelled, an angry mood swing beginning.
"Ok so every month you're gonna bleed for a week out of your...pussy. Its totally natural though! Its supposed to happen!"
"What--HOW?! WHY NOW?!" Pidge yelled.
"Well, some weirdos say this is when you're 'becoming a women'. But really this means you've officially ended puberty--"
"WHY AM I BLEEDING?!" Pidge screamed. "WHY DOES MY STOMACH HURT?!"
"Ok, deep breath! Thats all normal!"
"HOW?!"
"Ok so the 'period' is just your body hypothetically making room for a baby?"
"What the fuck?! I'm not gonna get pregnant!"
"I said hypothetically!"
"Get out of here, pervert! You wanna knock me up!"
Lance grabbed Pidge's wrists before she could hit him.
"Stop it Pidge! I'm not done explaining!"
"Let me go!" Pidge yelled.
"Well, the moodiness is definitely there," he grumbled.
"HEY!"
"Thats normal though too!" Lance clarifyed.
Pidge calmed down after that for some reason, but Lance still held her wrists stable.
Lance, as awkward as it was, was finally able to explain to Pidge what was happening. To the best of his abilities. Pidge was obviously very distressed. This was not only terrifying, but also something her mom should have been there for! She missed her mom, missed girls. Alurra was female, but she obviously didn't go through this. Pidge let Lance comfort her, laying on his lap.
Finally the rest of the team showed up. They held fresh clothes and blankets, all warmed up by the dryer. Pidge had no idea why they felt so much better that way right now! Lance explained as quickly as he could what was going on. He also bashed a bit on Shiro(playfully)about not knowing what a period is.
"Ok so, what do we do?" Keith asked.
"Well, its up to Pidge to find out what helps her through these things." Lance explained.
"But what about now?" Hunk asked. "We don't want you to suffer, Pidge!"
"I...I don't know." Pidge sighed. "I don't know what normally helps people through these....I like the warm blankets though. " she nuzzled into the cloth.
Lance spoke up. "Normally what helps with this stuff is; chocolate(lots of it), heat(to deal with the cramps), and rest. At least thats what my sisters said."
"Then thats what we'll do." Shiro said. "We'll help you get through this Pidge."
Pidge smiled soflty.
THE END
This is really good!
