Jack had focused, and slowed down time. To everyone else, he was invisible right now. But to him, everything was frozen. Jack walked up to Phillip. 

Phillip held an angry expression, with so much pain held behind it. he could see Phillip was scared. Scared of him.

Jack lifted his hand to cup Phillip’s frozen face. He felt the soft pampered skin. He gave Phillip a soft kiss on the cheek. 

“I love you my Prince,” he whispered. 

Jack got behind Phillip, and brought time back.

Jack kicked Phillip to the ground and lifted his sword. Phillip looked horrified. Jack hated it. He didn’t want to hurt Phillip, nor would he. But that look on Phillip’s face made him want to sob. 

And Jack kept seeing that face. When he cut the chains, when he said goodbye, when the sword impaired him...

So as the world got cold and Jack could feel himself fading, he smiled at Phillip the best he could. All before it went black.

Jack sat alone in the abandoned castle. It had been only two days since he had arrived back in the past of years ago. 

And while the Charmed one was trying his best to train him, Jack only had one thought on his mind:

Phillip.

Around this time, Phillip would currently be in a statue contest with a Giant. He would be staying completely still. He’s be there for a while. Jack could go see him right now. Go look at him from a bit, maybe heaven talk to him-

Jack felt a pounding headache from the Charmed One.

“Stop being a Gay disaster and focus!” He could practically hear him say.

It was one of those rare moments where the charmed one was letting him train his mind. He liked these days, because he was allowed to get lost in thought. He was allowed to think of Phillip. He was currently walking through his own memories, accompanied by the charmed one.

They stopped in front of one. It was his first sighting of Phillip.

“You sure took notice of the clothes.” The Charmed one Said. 

“Yeah, I hated them at first.”

“Why?”

“I guess I was kinda jealous. Never liked Princes. I thought they were stuck up.”

“But now?”

“After him...he makes me wanna be a Prince. Someone who is brave and smart. Always does the right thing...”

“That’s not the only reason, is it?”

“No.”

“What else?”

“...Phillip is required to marry royalty. Royalty like Princess Penelope. I can’t help but think that if I was royal that maybe...”

“I see..”

Jack leaned on Jill as she helped him walk. Jack felt pretty beat up after that final battle.

Jack looked up and he and Phillip made eye contact.

What does he say first? 

“I’m sorry”?

“I missed you”?

“I love you”?

“Phillip I-“ Jack was cut off when Phillip kissed him.

A year. A year having to be the enemy. A year of training with the charmed one. A year without Phillip.

All the stress, pain, sadness, they just washed away! He was here with Phillip and he was finally safe.

Everything was safe.

Jack was shocked when Phillip got on one knee.

He was really asking Jack to marry him! He loved Jack! And boy did Jack love him.

He said yes of course.
