ITS LANCE’S BIRTHDAY WOOOOOO!!!! So lets have some LANGST for the occasion! :)
(When I wrote this is was Lance’s Bday—July 28–stfu)
This isn’t technically birthday themed, but it was some angst I had in my head for a while lol. I was inspired by this fic and was like ‘No better time to write than late at night after a long day of partying’ lmao
Also IDK what kinda AU this is? Like Lance is an Earthling but also never met any of them. So IDK how he got to space in this univirse let alone how he ended up where he is. But hey, shrug it off and vibe with me ig. Also Alurra flies the Blue Lion. Their bond is weak, and that the Blue Lion doesnt intended to strengthen it. But why????Ooooo???? I definitely made Hunk more badass/serious unintentionally lol, and Alurra bit more nervous. But she’s a ‘new’ paladin so it works LOL!

LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Paladins and Alteans were in the castle’s Main HQ , as they prepared for a new mission.
Alurra stepped in front of the other paladins, preparing the mission details.
The Blue Paladin Armor always felt wrong on her, she could never quite explain it. At first she thought it was a sense of mourning, that she was disrespecting the former paladin. But overtime as the other paladins formed strong bonds with their earthling pilots, Alurra still felt very disconnected from Blue. Despite all her efforts to bond, the Blue Lion just wouldn’t let her in. She knew it didn’t really want her, she wanted someone else. Was waiting for someone else. But who? Until she found out, she would wear the paladin armor with a heavy heart.
“This is the Galra Ship we are set to infiltrate,” Alurra pulled up the image on the Altean Tech Hologram. “This ship is supposed to be where something called ‘The Jewel of the Galra Empire’ is kept. There is much inside acknowledgement about this jewel, and our Blade of Mamora agents are only able to learn so much without their cover being blown.”
“Why is this Jewel valuable?” Pidge asked. “Is it an energy source?”
“We believe so,” Alurra continued. “It’s supposed to rejuvenate their armies, bringing each individual rejuvenation.”
“How does it do that?” Hunk asked. “Is it that quintessence stuff that you and Corran talk about?”
“We are not actually sure,” Corran stepped up. “There are no security cameras of any kind inside the room, not even the Galra that go in themselves bring any documentation tools.”
Alurra nodded. “All we can see is the Galra entering or exiting. They will enter visibly distressed or exhausted. When they exit, it is clear the jewel has somehow given them new energy or relaxation of some sort.”
“So we have to get that Jewel,” Shiro understood.
“Shiro, we don’t even know what the jewel does!” Keith spoke up. “It could be weird, dark quintessence like Haggar does! Is it safe to bring it to the collation?”
“Its safer in our hands than theirs. As long as they don’t have it, its a step forward for the Voltron Coalition.”
“Correct Shiro!” Corran smiled, twisting his mustache. “Now, you all suit up! Alurra and Hunk will infiltrate the ship in the Yellow Lion. Pidge will give you guidance as how to do so from here in the castle. Keith and Shiro will distract the Galra ship in the meantime. Once the Jewel has been obtained, Pidge will join you all in the Green lion and bring the Blue Lion as well! You’ll form Voltron, and BOOM! Take out the Galra ship!”
The team nodded, and began the mission.
Alurra and Hunk quietly and quickly rushed around the Galra Ship, using Pidge’s map to try and locate the Jewel’s room. This was one of the strangest Galra ships they had ever been in, it was so lively! Whatever that Jewel’s power was, it was strong. Tall and Strong Galra filled the halls, talking loudly amongst eachother. Strangely, things got quieter as they got closer to the Jewel. There were signs along the walls saying things like “BE QUIET AS YOU APPRAOCH THE JEWEL” and “KEEP QUIET”.
The two finally reached the door. It was very beautiful, standing out in the usual purple and dim warship. It was embedded with shiny blue crystals and the hand-scan lock was the most secure they had ever seen! Alurra kept watch as Hunk set up Pidge’s hacking system.
“This is the strangest power source I have ever encountered,” Alurra whispered into the coms. “There are signs everywhere to stay quiet?”
“Aren’t these Galra ships quiet normally?” Keith asked through the coms.
“Note this one,” Hunk said, as they waited for Pidge’s program to let them in. “This has been one of the loudest crowded ships I’ve ever been in.”
“Maybe Galra’s don’t know to be quiet around delicate and valuable things?” Shiro shrugged.
“Is that a thing on Earth?” Alurra asked.
“Yes-“
“Hey, wait a second!” Pidge spoke up. “Is the Galran Jewel even a Jewel? What if its like, a title?”
At that moment, Pidge’s program opened the door.
Hunk slowly began to turn off his com, saying “Pidge, you might not be wrong…” before muting it.
Alurra and Hunk were expecting a large control room of some sort, or a sacred ceremony room of some sort! What they were not expecting, was a bedroom. A single one, meant for one person alone. The lights were dim like the rest of the ship; however they glowed an indigo blue, not purple. The lights hung from crystal chandeliers and lamps. Next to the door was a golden coat hanger, which was holding Galra armor for just about every class of soilder there was. There was a bathroom across the way, which looked very small. There was no closet, dresser drawers, and no personal belongings of any sort. There was a huge bed in the middle of the glamours room, big enough for two people at least. The covers were ruffled and messy, but you could barley tell because of how fluffy and thick they were. And the pillows were perfect to match. There were golden chains locked to the bed, connected to—A person?!
Hunk and Alurra quickly walked further inside, closing the door behind them. The mysterious person shot up in the bed, surprised. He was shirtless, his tan skin covered in hickeys and bite marks. His brown hair was messy, however he quickly ram his hands through it to fix it up. His ears were covered in golden jewelry and—Holy Shit he was a Human! He looked just like the others and Alurra could feel no quintessence to lead her to believe he was anything but a human.
“Oh My God, I am so sorry!” The human threw off his covers and stood up, revealing the rest of his naked body. He began to slightly ramble apologies for ‘Not greeting them right away’ and ‘I thought I had a minute or two before the next master arrived’ but Alurra and Hunk couldn’t even hear him.
They were too focused on his body: The Hickies and Bites continued down to his thighs, and that wasn’t the worst of it. Fresh cum—clearly layered over long dried—coated his stomach and waist. His dick was red and raw from use, Hunk didn’t even know a penis could look like that. He looked awful.
Suddenly the human realized he had been talking too much, and fell to his knees in a bow. His forehead touched the floor and his rear raised in the air. “How may I severe you, Masters?”
Alurra snapped out of her shock, and rushed to the human’s side. She knelt down next him, lifting him to meet her eyes. “Oh my goodness, what has happened to you?! You poor thing?”
The Human looked at her with innocent eyes. “Oh, please do not offer such pity!” He said with compassion. “It is my honor to serve you, mistress!”
“I-I am not your mistress!”
“But, you walked through the door? That means you are my mistress.”
“How many…mistresses or masters, do you have?” Alurra asked, already preparing the the worst.
“I have all Masters.” The human said. “I serve the ones who enter the door. All are above me, and I serve my masters.” He had a simple smile on his face.
Hunk finally joined too, as Alurra brought the human to his feet.
“Who are you?” Hunk asked.
The Human’s back went straight as he stood attention, he smile becoming wide and gaze becoming distant. “I am the Jewel of the Galra empire. I serve and obey. I serve the Galra empire. I please the Galra Empire, I rejuvenate the Galra empire. I love to obey, it is my purpose.” He recited the Mantra like he had said it a thousand times. When he was done and snapped from his trance, his stance relaxed and he returned eye contact.
Alurra turned to Hunk. “Hunk, he of Earth correct?”
Hunk nodded. “Yeah, he’s definitely an Earthling. How did you get out here?”
“I am not sure I understand master? I never leave this room, master.”
“You are on a ship in space, do you not know?” Alurra asked.
“Yes,” the Jewel turned and gestured to a single small window that showed the stars. “My masters say it is a beautiful place, one that will soon be theirs.”
“It won’t!” Alurra shouted. “We will stop them!”
“Yes Mistrtress.” The human bowed his head, clearly afraid of her sudden raise of voice. He dropped to his knees and bowed once again. “Please, forgive me. How may I serve you?”
“No No, Please!” Alurra embraced him. “I am sorry, I did not mean to scare you!”
Alurra looked over her shoulder at Hunk. “Hunk, what do we do? We cannot leave him here!”
“No duh!” Hunk said. “We have to take him with us!”
“How? We will not be able to form Voltron with another person in the cockpit of the Lion.”
“We’re running out of time, we just have to go! Now!”
Alurra nodded.
Alurra took the Jewel’s wrist in her hand, and began to pull him to the door with Hunk.
“We’re getting you out of here,” she explained. “Stay quiet.”
“B-But Zarkon decreed I cannot leave this room!” the human cried out, and began to resist.
“Zarkon?!”
“Alurra there’s no time,” Hunk said. “He can explain later! Just grab him!”
Alurra nodded and lifted the Jewel into her arms. While he did squirm, he was also comflicted between obeying Zarkon and Obeying these two masters.
The loudest alarms they had ever heard from the Galra erupted in the halls, as Alurra and Hunk rushed through the halls. Their coms erupted with worry as they unmuted.
“What’s happening?!” Pidge asked.
“Are you two Ok?! I’ve never heard an alarm like this!” Keith said.
“Did you get the Jewel?” Shiro tried to keep his voice professional.
“Y-Yes!” Alurra stuttered as she ran with said ‘Jewel’.
“Yes, but guys this is so much bigger than we ever thought!” Hunk said.
...
The two reached their Lions, Hunk spilling up into his and Alurra taking the ‘Jewel’ into hers. The Blue Lion lit up more than it ever has for her before, and warmth filled her heart. This was who the Blue Lion was waiting for. She needed them to save him. Now that they have, the Blue Lion felt more motherly than she ever had before. She finally looked at Alurra with Pride and admiration. Alurra smiled at that.
She set Lance back on his feet in the back and told him to stay there, and try to find something to cover himself with. Then she rushed to the drivers seat. She and Hunk busted out of the Galra ship with great speed, flying past the other lions and straight to the castle.
“We need to retreat!” Alurra cried.
“But the plan—!” Shiro gasped.
“Guys this is a fight we can’t win,” Hunk said. “And plus, we have a much bigger problem now!”
Shiro sighed, not upset but concerned. “Retreat Keith,” he said.
Keith, who was hearing everything, listened for once and joined the others.
A quick wormhole later, and they successfully escape with the Jewel of the Galra empire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The other paladins stood in front of the Blue Lion, worried. Hunk had screamed urgently to prepare a healing pod, and then come back right away. Hunk was a nervous and loud guy, but never to this extent. He stood extra close to the Blue Lion, ready to help Alurra out with this so called ‘much bigger problem than they thought’ Jewel. They were told Corran was just on his way back when Alurra finally emerged.
Alurra walked down the ramp, a human male by her side. Hunk rushed to them both down. He was weak and naked, covered only by the emergency blanket kept in the lion’s survival kits. It did nothing to cover his sexually abused body. And from what they couldn’t see, they could easily infer.
Shiro took a step back to keep himself from falling over, horrified by what the Galra were capable of. For a moment Pidge cried out in horror at her missing brother, before she realized it wasn’t Matt. Then, she just let her tears fall at the sight of the poor person. Keith’s hands flew to his mouth, covering it in shock. He looked more emotional than anyone had ever seen him, and was clearly crying but holding back the intense sobs and noises. He froze, clearly trembling.
Alurra and Hunk made it to the others, the Earth boys with them. The Earth boy brightened when he saw them.
“Oh, more masters!” He cheered. He dropped to his knees and bowed, his blanket being shed. “How may I serve you?”
The others cried out when they saw his back was not spared from any sexual scars. And he called them ‘masters’?! What had happened to this guy?
Alurra and Hunk quickly through the blanket back over him. “No No, stop!” Alurra said quickly, pulling him up. “We’re not you’re masters.” She reminded
“But…But you came though my door? I am the Jewel, and you came through the door! So you must be masters!”
Just then Corran strolled in. “Hello Paladins—Oh my! Who is this?” Corran was shocked and could clearly understand right away what had happened. However he was trying to keep his demeanor usual, unlike the others.
The ‘Jewel’ looked at him and smiled. He dropped to his knees again, and bowed to Corran this time. “I am the Jewel of the Galra Empire, how may I serve you master?”
Corran was a bit unsettled, but recovered. He knelt down a reached out his hand to Lance, helping him up. “You may call me Corran,” he said calmly. “Will you please follow me to the Medical Bay? I want to make sure you are alright.” he gave a smile.
“Yes Master—I mean Corran. I will obey.”
That definitely made Corran uncomfortable, but he did his best to ignore it and lead the boy away and to the Med Bay. Alurra quickly followed them, clothing him once again in the blanket.
Hunk stayed behind, to address the team.
__________________________
There was a moment of silence, the Paladins truely letting what just happened sink in.
“Oh My God,” Pidge breathed. “What happened to that guy?”
Hunk, who finally was able to break a little, shook his head. “I don’t know…Oh god how did another Earthling get so far out here? And why did he—Oh my god why…”
Shiro ran his hands through his hair. “I know what it’s like to lose part of who you are to the Galra, but…I’ve never seen them…I never thought they’d…just…that.”
Keith hadn’t moved through the entire scene. He had stayed with his hands over his mouth, frozen silent.
“Keith?” Shiro reached out his hand. “Are you ok?”
The moment Shiro placed his hand on Keith’s shoulders, Keith unfroze. He fell to his knees, and vomited. It was violent, and full of terrifying sobs.
“Keith!” Shiro cried out, and rushed to his side.
“Oh my god!” Pidge came as well, and tried to hold Keith’s long hair back and out of his face.
Hunk stood in front of Keith and the others, almost supervising. “What happened?”
When Keith was finally done vomiting, the screams began. They had never heard such sounds out of Keith. He cried out in sadness, a sadness they didn’t know Keith could even express. He clutched himself, his eyes wide as they released tears. When the screams stopped, they little down to muttering sobs.
“Keith, what’s happening?” Shiro asked as calmly as he could.
“How……how did they…did he….god…my fault…” Keith spoke incoherent speech, riddled with tears.
“Keith, deep breaths!” Hunk tried to say. “What’s wrong?”
Pidge, who had been running a scan to see what caused the vomit spoke up. “Guys, he doesn’t look good! He’s in total shock and overwhelmed. He’s gonna pass out!”
“Keith! Keith, stay awake!” Shiro grabbed him. “What’s wrong?”
Keith made teary eye-contact with Shiro. “I know him.”
Keith collasped into Shiro’s arms.

The Human at on a cot in the MedBay. His posture was calm, but he hunched over in a submissive way. He allowed Corran to put him in a healing pod to be scanned and look over him for any current injuries. Alurra stayed to accompany the human, despite Corran's warnings that there would most likely be disturbing information to be learned. Alurra insisted she wanted to stay, saying it was important to her that the human 'Jewel' have comfort. Currently Alurra held the Human's hand as he swung his legs back and forth, waiting for Corran to be finished reviewing his scans.
"Young man, what is your name?" Corran asked.
"I am the Jewel of the Galra Empire!" the human smiled. "I do not have a name,"
"Hmm, based on your scans I can infer what 'serving the Galra Empire' entails." Corran gave Alurra a sad face. "Along with severe Malnutrition, No protection was ever used during the countless intercourses. He definetly had deveouped many STDs and STIs. However it seems the Druids must have removed them, because now he has no STD/STIs, but his quinteseces has been altered many times. Mostly likely to rid him of these."
Alurra still gasped, horrified by the awful acts committed.
"And the druids seem to be at work once again with his...shaft. His biology has been manipulated to cause infinete blood pressure in his shaft, resulting in orgasms not equal to the amount of intercourse preformed."
Alurra turned to the human. "Did you know about this?"
The human answered much too happily for their taste. "Oh yes! My mistresses altered me so that I may perform my purpose much more efficiently! I am eternally grateful."
Alurra embraced the human once again, and the human was still confused as to why he was being pityed. He couldnt be happier!
"You are safe now," Corran rested a hand on the human's shoulder. "You no longer have to serve the Galra Empire."
"B-But it is my purpose!" the human lept off of the cot, stumbling a little bit. "Zarkon himself decreed it!"
Corran and Alurra were abosolutely horrified at the idea this poor man had come face to face with the evil Galra Emperor.
"Who is Zakon to you?" Corran asked.
"Corran, of course he knows who Zarkon is!" Alurra said.
"But who is he to him," Corran gestured to the Jewel, prompting him to continue.
"Zarkon his my savoir, my lord." the human brought his hands to his heart in a show of passion, and raised his head to the ceiling. "I was lost, until he showed me who I truly am, and what I'm meant to do."
"What do you mean, you were lost?" Alurra asked.
The human looked down for a moment, eyebrows furrowing as he tried to recall. It gave Corran and Alurra hoped that perhaps they could free him from this mindset--
"I do not remember much of my time before Zarkon saved me. Why would I? I am so much happier now!" the human sighed in releif.
Alurra huffed, a little frustrated. "Just try, for a moment? Please?"
"Yes mistress," the human nodded, and began to think again.
Alurra could feel the Jewel's hand in hers, squeeze a bit as he worked to remember the past he was(probably)forced to forget.
"I remember I was sitting down," he suddenly spoke. "Everything was shaking, I was frightened. My mind was frantic and confused, and there was a bunch of red flashing. Then I was in pain, physically. Next, I was with some of my masters, being led through the halls. Then, presented to my lord. Then it all changed. In my God's presense, everything became right." he smiled in releif
Corrand and Alurra cringed when they heard him refer to Zarkon as his God. But they let him continue.
"I bowed Zarkon, and he gave be the miracle of his touch. I have never felt such pleasure! He then decreed that I was the Jewel of the Galra Empire. I was taught to obey, and told to serve the Galra Empire from my room." he finished.
Alurra and Corran turned to eachother, then back to the human.
"It sounds like you were on a spaceship," Corran said. "You must have crashed and been captured by the Galra."
"And then brainwahsed into...this!" Alurra gasped. "How did you get so far into space using an Earth Spaceship? The paladins told us Earth is lacking our advanced technology."
"I am sorry, I do not understand mistress." the jewel appologized. "I do not remember being in a spaceship."
Alurra sighed, sad. She didn't know how they were supposed to help the human. How to convince him that he wasn't a 'Jewel of the Galra Empire" but a human man with free will. But she knew one thing: She wasn't going to just give up on him. This human was staying with them, and they would help him. Keep him safe, and teach him who he really was. She didn't bother to check with the other Paladins, or even Corran next to her. She turned right to the human, and said: "You will be safe here with us. And we will help teach you the truth. I know you don't understand now, but I promise to do everything I can until you do."

(Insert Keith waking up and explaining how he knows lance: Lance was his only ‘friend’ at the garrison. Interacting with him in some way no matter what. Keith never showed or said it, but he really appreciated Lance and cared for him—sffnvbvn hint hint gay crush ldbrfibhvpgvn—so seeing his basically only friend this way has totally fucked him up)
Keith awoke to a horrible taste in his mouth. He wished that was all he woke up to, but he also woke up to the realization that everything that just happened was not a dream. That Lance Mcclain really was on their ship, rescued from a Galra ship where had been clearly brainwashed.
When he first saw Lance step out of the Blue Lion so many thoughts ran through his head. How did Lance get into Space? Run to him! Give him space. Tell him, now! Don't tell him yet. But then he saw the shape Lance was in, the sexual evidence littered across his body. Oh god no. What happened? What did they do to you?! And those thoughts only increased when they heard Lance speak and how he acted. Keith remembered being totally frozen, he could feel his tears but other than that he felt trapped. Only when Shiro touched him did he break, vomiting and crying until he passed out. He would have been embarrassed if not for the more pressing matters. He ripped off the covers and got out of the bed he was apparently laying in.
He had to get to him, he had to get to Lance. Lance, who had stayed by his side no matter what. Lance, who said hi and talked to him everyday. Lance, who studied with him in the library for tests. Lance, who Keith always ignored and told to go away. Lance, who didn't give up.
Keith hadn't deserved Lance, didn't deserve him. Keith found Lance had torn down the walls he worked tirelessly to keep standing. He valued Lance more than anyone else. And yet, he never told him. He never told Lance how much he appreciated being greeted every morning. He never told Lance about how he cried tears of joy in his room after Lance handed him a Christmas Card his mother had made for him. He never told Lance how much he loved him. No, when he was booted from the Garrison he didn't even say goodbye. And he regretted it everyday.
He had to say it now. He had to tell Lance now!
...
Right as he opened his door however, he was blocked by Shiro, Hunk, and Pidge.
"Whoa, Keith!" Hunk said, holding him by the shoulders. "Where are you going?"
"I have to go to Lance!" Keith said, trying to push him aside.
"So, thats his name?" Pidge asked.
"Alurra told us he said he didn't have one." Shiro said.
"His name is Lance," Keith insisted. "And I have to see him!"
"Keith, wait!" Shiro stopped him. "Alurra and Corran spoke with....Lance. And we have more information than before."
Hunk took Keith from Shiro's arms, into his own. He brought them both down to sit on the floor, Pidge and Shiro joining them.
"When Me and Alurra found Lance," Hunk began. "He was serving as a...A Galra...a.."
"A Galra Sex Slave." Pidge finished. She flinched at her own bluntness. "Theres...There's no other way to say it."
Keith flinched. He already had a feeling, but hearing it was still horrible.
"And whoever Lance was before," Shiro said. "He's been completely brainwashed into this 'Jewel of the Galra' role."
"He thinks Zarkon is his God," Pidge crossed her arms. "He also defiantly raped him before sentencing Lance to be brainwashed into a slave."
"But Alurra has decided that he will stay with us, and we will help fix him and keep him safe!" Shiro tried to reassure.
Keith hunched into himself. This was so much worse than he thought...
"Keith," Hunk spoke up. "How do you know him?"
Keith let out a shuddering sigh. "He was my friend..."
Pidge's head snapped up. "But I thought you--"
"Didn't have any? Yeah, I didn't." Keith said. "He was the only one. And I...oh god." Keith hid his head in his legs. "I never even told him. He meant so much to me and I never told him. I never even said goodbye."
Shiro put an arm around Keith. "Something tells me he was much more than a friend to you."
Keith didn't say anything. He just nodded.
The other two began to embrace Keith too. It lasted a long time, before they finally let Keith go. Keith rubbed away his tears and stood up.
"I need to go see him." Keith said.
Shiro nodded. "Let me tell Alurra," he pulled out his communicstor. "Right now she and Corran are with him in the dining room. None of us have officially met him yet. We were waiting for you. "
Pidge nodded. "He calls everyone Master or Mistress, no matter who they are."
"But Alurra and Corran have already gotten him to start calling them by their names!" Hunk piped in. "Well, he calls them 'Master Corran' and 'Mistress Alurra', but its quick progress!"
"He always was a fast learner," Keith said, chuckling sadly. "I can only imagine how quickly he was..."
"We're going to help him Keith," Pidge said. "We're going to make this right."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Corran and Alurra sat on either side of Lance in the dining room. Shiro had messaged Alurra, explaining that Keith apparently had past with the human and that his name was Lance. They told him as such, however it seemed he took it as an order. Saying "Yes Mistress Alurra, I will learn to respond to Lance from now on." At least he was trying to call her by her first name, and that was progress.
They had also given him clothes now, the best they could find in his size. Corran had wanted to put Lance in some of his clothes, saying he would look just as much a 'gorgeous man' as himself. Alurra laughed, but insisted they find something more casual, and that looked as much like Earth clothing as Altean Clothes could. They settled on an Altean Servant uniform, as it was loose and comfortable. It couldn't really count as a servant uniform anyway, servants were long gone...Apparently, clothes--and any kind of underwear--were a new concept to Lance. Lance explained that the most he had ever worn was a 'cock cage' when his masters commanded him to. Lance admitted to being uncomfortable in the clothes, but just because he was not used to the concept and not because of the fabric. However, Alurra and Corran agreed he looked very nice in them! The Altean clothes were made up of a long blue tunic, with a white apron sewn into it and a yellow band around the waist. The pants were dark blue and hung from the ankles. However they didn't give him shoes yet. If he was uncomfortable in clothes, shoes were going to be a step too far for today. Babysteps.
Right now, Lance was eating while they waited for the other paladins to come in. He ate silently, but also happily. Alurra and Corran were received to see that just because he was conditioned to obey, doesnt mean he was conditioned into unhappiness. Even though he definitely gagged when he first tasted the food goo, not unlike the other Paladins. However conversation wasn't an easy task right now. He had just got here, and only really knew how to listen. Its not like he had anything to say anyway. However they did manage to convince him that he was allowed to speak and ask questions. However those questions were still 'How May I serve You, Master?".
"I am glad to see you are stomaching the food goo," Corran laughed.
Lance nodded. "Yes Master Corran."
"Lance the other Paladins will be here soon," Alurra said. "They have not properly been introduced yet. But you don't have to be afraid of them!" she smiled.
"Of course Mistress Alurra," Lance said. "I would never be afraid of my masters." he smiled.
Alurra cringed a bit, but otherwise let it go.
...
The other Paladins entered shortly after, clearly tense but also determined. Alurra stood up and led Lance to them.
"Lance, these are the other paladins who live with us." she smiled. "They are Human, like you!"
Lance stepped forward, and bowed on his knees. "It is nice to meet you, masters. I am Lance, how may I serve you?" he then stood up and turned to Alurra. "Did I do it right?"
Alurra sighed, but still smiled. "No, but that is ok. You are getting better already!"
"Please, forgive me Mistress Alurra!" Lance tried to bow again, but Alurra stopped him.
"Its ok, theres nothing to forgive! Now, let the other Paladins introdcue themselves."
Shiro took that as his cue to start. "Hello Lance," he said as calmly as he could. "I am the Black Paladin, Shirogane. But you can call me Shiro. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them."
"Yes Master Shirogane," Lance bowed his head. "May I ask something?"
"Yes," Shiro smiled. He was already learning!
"Your arms seems to be of Galran Solider origin," Lance said. "Do you serve Lord Zarkon too?"
"No." Shiro said, a bit too sternly. "I do not, and never will serve him!"
"Shiro calm down," Hunk said quickly. "He can't help it, ok?"
Shiro took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Hi, I'm Hunk!" Hunk smiled his friendly smile. "Same as Shiro, let me know if you ever need anything or have questions, We're all here for you! And if your ever hungry, I'm a really good cook! I'd love to cook for you sometime."
"You are too kind, Master Hunk." Lance bowed his head. "Please, tell me if I can serve you in anyway to repay your kindness."
Hunk just nodded, knowing that it was no use to correct him right now.
"Hi....I'm Pidge." Pidge said, not making eye contact with Lance. "I, uhm...yeah hi."
"Mistress Pidge, you seem tense." Lance said. He reached to his pants. "Please, allow me to help--"
"NO!" Pidge screamed. "Don't! Don't...do that!"
"Yes Mistress Pidge, please forgive me." Lance said sadly.
Finally it was Keith's turn. Lance turned to face him, and Keith froze again. He still had the same striking Blue eyes, and yet those eyes didn't recognize him at all. He couldnt think of anything to say, except "It...It's me. Keith."
Lance suddenly stepped closer to Keith and tilted his head. "Forgive me Master Keith if I am incorrect," Lance spoke. "But you look familer to me. Have I served you before?"
Keith began to tremble. Lance...Lance recognized him! He was still there, Lance was still there. Somewhere deep, deep down.
Keith nodded. "Y-Yeah! You know me! Its me, Keith! From the Garrison, remember?"
Lance raised an eyebrow. "I am sorry Master Keith, I do not."
Keith's shoulders sank and he hung his head in defeat.
But something clicked in Lance. Before Lance was a helplessly happy slave. Knowing nothing but happiness, afterall everything he did was serving the empire. And he loved to serve the empire, he still does! But that eternal happiness he had...something broke. He suddenly felt different in some way. He wasn't sad, he was still happy! But now he felt like he could be sad if he wanted to. Or angry, or any emotion. He felt like saying words in combinations he never had before. He felt some sort of personality surface. He hadn't had one of those before.
"I-I'm sorry Master Keith," he said in a sincere tone. Huh, he didn't have tone before. "Please, is there anyway I can serve you to make you feel better?"
Keith looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. He must have noticed the change too. "No, no thank you."
"...Okay."
Alurra then called attention. "Well everyone, its clearly been a very long day. I suggest we all retire for the night. Paladins, please take time to enjoy a meal. I will take Lance to his new room."
Lance gasped. "I get a new room?" he said excitedly. "Is it like my old one at all?"
Alurra noticed the change in him too. She chuckled. "Not at all, I'm sorry." she said. "However this room you can leave and return to anytime you want!"
"Really? Thank you Mistress Alurra!"
"Alurra, can I come too?" Keith asked.
Alurra nodded. "Of course. You might be better at explaining what some things are in Earth terms that he will understand."
Keith was admittedly a little jealous of Lance's room. Keith and the other Paladins had pretty simple rooms; with a bunkbed built into the wall, one bathroom--not shower though, they had community showers--and one closet. But apparently Alurra had this room totally free! It was much bigger, with a normal but more comfy than his bed. But it also had a full bathroom! This bathroom had a shower and bathtub. Keith pulled Alurra aside and not so subetly asked her why Lance got such a fancy room. And Alurra totally didn't laugh at Keith being jealous. But she explained that Lance's room with the Galra while covered in shiny things, was very small and didn't have anything. Not a closet, or even a shower! It had a toilet, sink, and bucket. Apparently Lance was taught to just fill the bucket and wipe himself off with a sponge. Altough he 'confessed' to sometimes pouring water over himself. Alurra wanted him to be able to experienced actual bathing but also privacy to do so. Keith then agreed that yeah, Lance deserved to be pampered a bit with this.
Alurra then left Keith with Lance to show him around the room and appliances. Keith showed Lance the lamps and lights, and how to turn on and off the Heat/AC. He showed Lance his linen closet, which had extra blankets, pillows, and towels. He just decided to ignore when Lance asked where the lube required to serve his masters was. He showed Lance his clothes closet, and told Lance they would get him more clothes soon. Then he showed him the grand finale bathroom. Keith remembered Lance used to love pampering himself, and would constantly invite him to 'spa nights'. Keith never went to them, but did hear about what Lance would do at them.
"Oh my god," Lance gasped when he walked into the bathroom. "This is huge!"
Keith chuckled. "Yup. And you don't need a bucket anymore, you have a shower and bathtub now."
"Master Keith, this is amaizng!" Lance spun around and smiled at him. "Thank you!"
Keith smiled back, he could feel a little bit of Lance shining through.
"Oh, is this the lube?" Lance held up a bottle of shampoo. "There's a lot in here, I've never seen this many kinds!"
"Lance, that's... thats soap."
Lance raised an eyebrow and looked back at the bottle in his hand.
Keith waited with baited breath. Please don't tell me he forgot what soap is. Lance used to love using so many different kinds of soaps that did who knows what please tell me they didn't take that from him--
"What's soap?"
God fuck why?!
"Its supposed to clean your body and hair. Make you smell good and stuff. Did the Galra ever clean you?" Keith asked.
Lance shook his head, "No Master Keith. I was taught to rinse myself off once a day. They did not want me to smell like anything but myself. They called it my 'natural musk'."
Keith held out an open bottle of body wash to Lance. "Smell this,"
"Ok, Master Keith." Lance nodded and leaned over the bottle to smell it. Lance's eyes widened and he stared back at Keith. "Master Keith, it smells wonderful!"
"Do you wanna use it?"
"You mean, I can smell like that?" Lance said it like he didn't believe it was even possible.
Keith laughed. "Yes! You used to love this kinda stuff."
"I did?"
Keith nodded. "Yeah, before the Galra."
Keith thought Lance was going to protest again, say that he had always been with the galra. Or ask if Keith was giving him a new purpose or something. But he didn't, to Keith's surpirse.
"Master Keith, will you help me?" Lance asked for something! That was major progress on top of everything today already! "I...I uhm..."
"Do you want to take a bath?" Keith asked.
Lance nodded. "Yes Master Keith. Would...would you help me? Please."
Keith nodded. "Yeah, I'll help you."
THE END
