THEM.
This takes place after book 3 and Epilouge.

The castle was buzzing with excitement. Servants rushed around, working to get their tasks done quickly. May and Jack had sent word that another one of their adventures was once again complete, and they were stopping by for a visit. Phillip was thrilled! he hadn’t seen his best friends in too long! He was setting up for them to have a wonderful stay.
Phillip couldn’t help but be a bit…nervous. Even though he hadn’t seen him in so long, Phillip had quite the crush on Jack. After so many adventures together, it was bound to happen. But Phillip was king, he could no longer just leave to go on quests. Jack had gave him a sad look when he once again had to refuse the invitation. It wasn’t like he wanted to!
Perhaps this would be his chance to spend time with Jack, maybe even confess!

Once Jack and May arrived to the castle, there was not a minute of silence. The two excitedly recounted their adventures, to which Phillip listened closely to. May went on and on about how she was able to fool a group of wicked Fae, while Jack rolled his eyes claiming that May was not clever and that the Fae were just gullible. Phillip was so happy to hear Jack’s voice again…
“It is almost time for dinner,” Phillip said. “Shall we continue this story then?”
“Yeah sure!” May said.
“The guards will lead you to your quarters where you may freshen up before the meal.”
“Thanks Phillip,” Jack said, patting the Prince’s shoulder. “I probably look like shit-“
“You look nice.”
Jack stopped at Phillip’s quick response. But he just chuckled and thanked him again.
Meanwhile Phillip fell into a blushing embarrassed heap.

Dinner went wonderfully, May and Jack eating lots of food. He supposed they hadn’t had good quality food in quite a long time. However he didn’t mind. After all, he’d look over any bad manners just to have Jack by his side.
“We missed you so much Phillip!” May said. “Jack couldn’t stop talking about you.”
“MAY!” Jack hissed. “Don’t listen to her, its not true.” He rolled his eyes, but there was a blush on his face.2
“It is alright, I missed you too.” Phillip smiled softly.

Sadly, another adventure called the two away all too soon. Once again, Jack asked Phillip to join. And Phillip once again had to decline. The two went off once again, leaving Phillip with a hole in his heart. They had stayed for one night, and talked for a total of 7 hours and 23 minutes through it all. And not once did Phillip have the chance to confess to Jack.
Oh well, there was always next time….
